The dog is a gentleman; I hope to go to his heaven, not man's. - Mark Twain
If there are no dogs in heaven, then when I die, I want to go where they went. - Will Rogers

Farewell Beloved Touchstone
Shona
Tudoridge’s La Mascara Negra
1998 - 2012
On Tuesday, January 17, 2012, our beautiful Shona left us peacefully.
She went with dignity, in comfort and with grace.
Family and friends said their goodbyes over Christmas and in the New Year.
Reassured by loving hands as she took her last breath,
she embraced a quiet, painless ending to a long and happy life.
Born May 7, 1998, she was a constant light in our lives for almost 14 years.
Our beloved touchstone has moved on. Yet she remains.
A house that now seems barren will come to life again.
Sorrow will give way to fond memories of fun-filled years together.
Hearts break at these farewells. Tears are shed.
We welcome the blessings of a cherished pet’s companionship . . .
of unquestioning affection . . . of uncompromising devotion.
Blessings are paid for in tears.Tears bear witness to blessings.
First named “Dotty” by her wonderful breeders, John and Stephanie,
Shona remained her puppy-self to the end,
ever gentle, ever loving, ever the dotty-dog we so adored.
She is greatly-missed and will be ever-loved.

Meet Apollo
Is he a dashedly daring dog or an itty bitty bear? Please note the Noble Ridgeback preceding him. She is gone now, but they shared many wonderful times together before she left us. |
